Who We Are: CommitTED to Wild Horse Conservation

Allison Hinkle, Virginia Range Program Coordinator, has always been passionate about the environment and wildlife. Her love for horses began at the age of 8 when she first started riding, and continued as she volunteered with horses throughout adolescence.

Caylyn Mira is joining AWHC as the Grassroots Advocacy & Campaigns Manager. She lives in Florida, where she enjoys the weather year-round and has a passion for cooking. Caylyn recently earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Michigan State University, with minors in Law, Justice, and Public Policy, and Leaders of Organizations.

Deana Kirk, Nevada Operations Coordinator, is driven by a commitment to making a positive impact on both the community and the environment. She is dedicated to optimizing efficiency and effectiveness within all of Nevada's projects and programs.

Fernando Guerra, Director of Law and Policy, is an attorney with years of experience in litigation and advocacy. Fernando obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, College Park in Environmental Science and Policy, with a concentration in Biodiversity and Conservation Biology.

Nicole Hayes, Conservation Scientist, has always been passionate for animals and conservation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in marine science from the University of South Carolina, with an emphasis in biological oceanography. Following this, she spent a month conducting research in Indonesia, an experience that solidified her commitment to conservation.

Tracy Wilson, Nevada State Director, fell in love with horses as a small child and eventually fulfilled her dream of owning her own horse when she bought a Spanish Mustang. Eventually, she married, had a son, and began a career as a certified muscular therapist, but the love of horses never left.

Yenny Martin, Digital Content Manager, began channeling her life-long devotion to animals toward wildlife advocacy as soon as she could stage one-gal "protests on rollerblades." She earned her Bachelors in documentary filmmaking from Bennington College and her Masters in Art, Education, and Community Practice ("art activism") from New York University.
