The Sinbad Herd Management Area

The Sinbad Herd Management Area spans 234,000 acres of federal and state lands in Utah. This area is characterized by its diverse vegetation, including pinon-juniper trees, sagebrush, shadscale, and bunch grass, providing a unique habitat for wildlife.

How to Get There

The Sinbad HMA is located 30 miles west of Green River, UT. It extends up to 18 miles on both sides of I-70, from the San Rafael Reef to Eagle Canyon, offering easy access for visitors.

About the Burros

Approximately 112 burros inhabit this HMA, sharing the land with wild horses. The burros are predominantly black and gray, adding to the area's natural beauty.
