Robert Redford Supports Wild Horse Sanctuary Efforts
Robert Redford, renowned actor and activist, recently took a stand for wild horse preservation while attending the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Beyond receiving the 2014 American Riviera award, Redford dedicated time to support a cause close to his heart: the protection of America's wild horses.
At the event, Redford participated in a fundraiser for Return to Freedom, a wild horse preservation and sanctuary located in Lompoc. This nonprofit organization is committed to safeguarding the freedom and well-being of wild horses.
During a luncheon at the Biltmore Coral Casino, Redford joined approximately 40 supporters to discuss his ongoing fight against the horse slaughter industry in the U.S. He passionately described wild horses as a symbol of American freedom, stating that harming them is fundamentally un-American.
