Renowned Horse Artist Ritch Gaiti Supports Wild Horses Through Art
Lompoc, California -- November 11, 2013 -- Horse artist Ritch Gaiti, known for his unique horse paintings, donates an art piece to the American Wild Horse Conservation (formerly American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign). Ritch Gaiti, known for his unique horse paintings, which capture the spirit and soul of wild horses, announced his donation to the American Wild Horse Conservation. It will be used to support its cause of protecting free-roaming herds as part of our national heritage.
“Ritch Gaiti’s beautiful work brings home the beauty of wild horses, reminding us why we work so hard to protect these iconic animals on the western landscape,” said Suzanne Roy, director of the American Wild Horse Conservation. “Americans need to know that every year, the federal government uses low flying helicopters to stampede thousands of wild horses into pens and clear them off public lands so that commercial interests can turn a profit.”
Ritch Gaiti, a nationally acclaimed horse artist, focuses on bringing horses to life on canvas. His paintings of horses running free across the range represent the grace, beauty, and, most of all, freedom that once dominated the landscape. “There are no corrals or fences in my work – just the natural boundaries of nature,” says Gaiti. “I strive to capture the energy and soul of the horse through my paintings.”
“I am a great supporter of the American Wild Horse Conservation, which is trying to preserve the sanctity of this beautiful species. They do with advocacy for wild horses what I do with horse paintings – promote the value and magnificence of America’s mustangs.”
