Epic Giant Screen Film Thunders into Theaters Worldwide in Early 2026
(LOS ANGELES, December 16, 2025) – Academy Award® nominee Josh Brolin - a lifelong horseman with deep roots in the American West - will narrate Horse Power, the new IMAX®/Giant Screen documentary. The film, produced in partnership with American Wild Horse Conservation (AWHC), celebrates the extraordinary power of horses and their enduring bond with humanity.
Produced by Emmy® Award–winning Plimsoll Productions (A Real Bug's Life, Super/Natural, Hostile Planet), an ITV Studios company, and distributed worldwide by SK Films, Horse Power takes audiences on a sweeping global journey — from wild mustangs navigating the vast landscapes of Nevada to legendary desert stallions known for speed and stamina, alongside domestic service horses and therapy horses whose quiet strength changes human lives.
Brolin brings emotional depth and gravitas to the film’s sweeping visuals and intimate stories - his narration anchoring an experience that is both cinematic and deeply human.
Through partnership and funding, AWHC provided essential expertise and on-the-ground access to bring key chapters featuring America’s wild horses — and their cultural and ecological significance — to the giant screen. Indeed, many of the film’s most dramatic sequences were captured in Fish Springs, Nevada, home to the iconic Pine Nut wild horses.
By spotlighting these living symbols of freedom, American Wild Horse Conservation aims to deepen global understanding of the challenges facing wild horses today — and inspire audiences to protect their future.

Horse Power is exactly the kind of story the Giant Screen was made for.”
A central component of AWHC’s involvement is a global education and outreach initiative bringing the story of wild horses into classrooms and communities worldwide.
“With more than 45 million horse enthusiasts in the U.S. and only one percent of horses living wild, under permanent threat of removal, Horse Power is a rare opportunity to spark awareness and action,” said Ellie Phipps Price, AWHC Board Member and founder of the Montgomery Creek Ranch Wild Horse Sanctuary. “Our free learning initiative will explore the origins, science, and global role of horses, with a special focus on wild herds, their ecological value, and the urgent need for conservation.”
Horse Power will debut in IMAX® and Giant Screen theaters worldwide in early 2026 — the Year of the Horse.
