Equine Artist Donates Oil Painting to Wild Horse Organization
Renowned equine artist Ritch Gaiti has made a significant contribution to the American Wild Horse Conservation (formerly American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign) by donating his oil painting, Just Lingering. This artwork will support the organization's mission to protect free-roaming herds, a vital part of America's national heritage.
AWHC director Suzanne Roy expressed that Gaiti’s work beautifully captures the essence of wild horses, reinforcing the importance of their preservation in the western rangelands.
Gaiti is celebrated for his ability to bring horses to life on canvas. His paintings, depicting horses running free, embody the grace, beauty, and freedom that once defined the American landscape. “There are no corrals or fences in my work – just the natural boundaries of nature,” he explains. “I strive to capture the energy and soul of the horse through my paintings.”
Gaiti is a passionate supporter of the American Wild Horse Conservation, aligning his artistic vision with their advocacy efforts. “They do with advocacy for wild horses what I do with horse paintings – promote the value and magnificence of America’s mustangs,” he adds.
The painting Just Lingering measures 24 inches by 36 inches and has been showcased in various prestigious galleries and museums across the United States, including the International Museum of the Horse, The Great Plains Art Museum, and the American Quarter Horse Museum.
