2014 Wild Horse and Burro Roundup Schedule

On July 7, the Bureau of Land Management released its Tentative 2014 Roundup Schedule. The agency is targeting 2,400 wild horses and burros for removal from the range by the end of the Fiscal Year, September 30, 2014. The schedule includes roundups/removals in seven Western states:

  • WYOMING: 1,535 horses
  • NEVADA: 200 horses
  • ARIZONA: 140 burros
  • OREGON: 75 horses, 25 burros
  • CALIFORNIA: 50 horses, 50 burros
  • IDAHO: 35 horses
