Stephanie Brown

Stephanie Brown is the Co-Founder and former President/CEO of Mrs. Pastures Cookies for Horses, the leading horse treat brand in the U.S. After earning her degree in agricultural economics from UC Davis, she pursued a successful career in finance, ultimately becoming VP of Institutional Fixed-Income Sales for Kidder Peabody & Co. in San Francisco and New York. Inspired by her passion for horses and entrepreneurial spirit, she left Wall Street to co-found and lead Mrs. Pastures, Inc.— turning a homemade cookie recipe into a thriving national brand. In 2021, after 34 years in business, she sold the company and retired. A lifelong equestrian and dressage rider, Stephanie adopted her mustang Marvin in 2017. She credits Marvin with giving her an intense respect for the intelligence, resilience, and heart of wild horses—and a strong desire to protect them both on- and off-range. Now living in Calistoga, CA, she and her husband Cory enjoy riding their mustangs through the vineyards of the Napa Valley.
