Stop Nevada's Anti-Mustang Legislation

This coming Friday, Nevada legislators plan to move forward with legislation that threatens wild horses and burros through the state's Legislative Committee on Public Lands. Your presence is crucial at this meeting, which will be held in Carson City and videoconferenced in Las Vegas on August 19, 2016, at 9 a.m.
Why Your Voice Matters
This state committee is scheduled to vote on three proposals that could harm wild horses and burros, including one that would direct Nevada to engage in litigation to force the federal government to remove these animals and conduct dangerous sterilization procedures.

Your Message at the Meeting
The vast majority of Nevadans oppose the removal and sterilization of wild horses and burros and oppose litigation that would force the federal government to engage in these ill-conceived proposals. Instead, legislators should support fair and humane management of wild horses and burros, including humane birth control and a fair allocation of resources on public federal lands.
Nevada legislators need to hear from constituents who support wild horses and burros.
