The State Senate Committee on Natural Resources recently introduced SB90, which would designate the wild mustang as the official state horse of Nevada. You have the power to make this piece of legislation law, and we want to help!

Update on SB90 as of March 24, 2023

Following the Senate Committee on Natural Resources hearing for SB90 on March 7, it went back to the Legislative Council Bureau for a small language change.

  1. Next, the bill will go to a working session in the committee (TBD).
  2. After the work session, the bill goes back for the "official reprint" and then comes back to the committee to vote on. This will all occur before April 14.
  3. When it gets voted out of committee, it will then go to the full Senate to be voted on.
  4. Once it passes the Senate, it will go to the Assembly Committee on Natural Resources.
  5. Next, it heads to the Full Assembly for the final vote.
  6. SB90's final destination will be the Governor's office for signature.
