Local Group Opposes Wild Horse Euthanization Proposal
A local group is challenging a proposal that could lead to the euthanization of wild horses and burros in a 10-state region out west. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has stated that there are too many wild horses and burros in this area. If Congress adopts provisions in President Donald J. Trump’s budget proposal, theBLMwould be allowed to euthanize excess horses and sell them to slaughterhouses.
