Copiah County Horses Find New Home at Little Creek Ranch
Sixty-five horses, once found starving in Copiah County, have been given a new lease on life. These horses have been adopted and are now on their way to Little Creek Ranch in Glen, Mississippi. This rescue effort highlights the power of community and the dedication of horse activists.
Last month, the dire conditions of these horses were brought to light. Over 100 horses were discovered, with 14 tragically deceased. The remaining horses were at risk of being sent for slaughter.
After the story aired, a wave of support surged from horse activists and supporters. Together, they raised $42,000 to purchase the horses from their owner, ensuring their safety and well-being. The horses are expected to arrive at their new home by Friday.
