RICHFIELD — The Bureau of Land Management’s Richfield field office is seeking public comment on an environmental assessment for a proposed wild horse off-range pasture. This pasture is planned on the Tate Farms property, located on both sides of state Route 132 near Fountain Green, covering approximately 3,900 acres.

Scott Noll, the manager of the family-owned farm, has proposed that the BLM fund a contract for this pasture, which is estimated to have a capacity for 700 horses.

Written comments will be accepted by letter or email until Monday, February 15, 2016. The most useful comments are those that provide new technical or scientific information relevant to the proposed action. Comments that express only opinions or preferences will not receive a formal response but may be considered in the decision-making process.
